Retreat in Malaga

There are two potential dates for a Yogalates retreat at a hotel in the hills behind Malaga with two nights in Malaga old town:

15-24 September 2022 &

20-29 April 2023.

Outline itinerary

Malaga - 2 nights

Two nights in Malaga (staying bed and breakfast at the Marriott Palacio just on the edge of the old town).

Complementary tour of Malaga old town with brief commentaries by Jan: 

  • Picasso museum - entry €9

  • Alcazaba Moorish castle (built early 11th century and retaken by the Spanish in 1487) - entry €5 / €2.50

  • Roman amphitheatre (first century BC), right in front of the castle - entry €0

  • Malaga cathedral (built 1528 – 1782) - entry €6 / €5.50 with roofs €10 / €9 - www.malagacatedral.com

  • The old markets with feature stained glass window

Other places to visit:

  • El Corte Ingles - big department store (about 15 minute walk from the hotel)

  • Shops in the old town including Zara, Desiguel etc and artisan chocolate shop

  • Bars, cafes & restaurants

  • Walk around the port and shops and restaurants on the far side (about 15 minute walk from the hotel)

Hotel Finca el Cerillo - 7 nights

Seven nights at the hotel in the mountains, full board (only six lunches) - see map

Ten Yogalates classes, some early morning some late afternoon.

Relaxing by the pool, walking to nearby villages, tapas €6, bodega wine tasting visit €6 etc.

The hotel is quite remote and so this is very much a relaxation retreat for you to reset busy lives and … relax.

Guide pricing

The retreat package starts and ends at Malaga airport, you will need to arrange your own flights to Malaga. Taxi transfers between the airport, Malaga and Hotel Finca el Cerillo are included. The aim would be for as many people as possible to travel together on these flights.

Guide pricing is £1,000 per person sharing / £1,300 singles.

Guide flights costs from Guernsey including overnight at Gatwick on the way out is £500 per person sharing / £595 singles.
